Who can take part
- You are scheduled for a TAVI procedure (a minimally invasive heart valve replacement).
- You are between 18 and 85 years old.
- You are at mild to severe surgical risk (ASA II–IV).
- You do not have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners.
- You do not have chronic pain before surgery or a condition like dementia that prevents pain assessment.
- You do not have an infection where the nerve block would be given, and you have not had spinal or epidural anesthesia for this procedure.
