Who can take part
- You are between 45 and 75 years old.
- You have nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) or a liver disease of unknown cause, and you may have some alcohol intake (up to 60/40 grams per day for men/women).
- You have moderate to severe liver scarring (F3-F4 fibrosis), cirrhosis, or a family history of liver cancer, or you are a man with diabetes or obesity and certain genetic variants.
- You are willing to sign a consent form to take part in the study.
- You do not have a history of hepatitis B or C, autoimmune hepatitis, or other genetic liver conditions like hemochromatosis or Wilson's disease.
- You have not been diagnosed with liver cancer before the study starts, and you do not have another serious illness that would limit your life to less than 2 years.
