Acupuncture plus self-rehab for severe Bell's palsy

Who can take part

  • You have Bell's palsy for the first time, and it only affects one side of your face.
  • Your facial weakness was severe (grades IV–VI) about 10 days after it started.
  • You took the steroid prednisolone within 72 hours of symptoms, as prescribed.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are not afraid of intradermal acupuncture and not allergic to adhesive tape.
  • You don't have other causes of facial paralysis or serious health conditions.
