Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have thumb base joint arthritis (stage I or II on X-ray) that has been painful for at least 1 month.
- Your thumb pain when using your hand is at least 5 out of 10 on a pain scale.
- You are not currently using a thumb splint or brace.
- You agree to avoid taking painkillers for 24 hours before study visits.
- You have not had certain treatments recently: injections, anti-inflammatory drugs, or physical therapy (like laser or shockwave) in the last 1-3 months.
