Who can take part

  • You are getting a stem cell transplant from a fully matched donor (related or unrelated) after strong chemo or radiation
  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are in good physical function (able to do most daily activities)
  • You are able to swallow pills
  • You do not have active inflammatory bowel disease or have had gastric bypass surgery
  • You do not have active C. diff infection or iron deficiency anemia needing treatment
  • You are not already taking deferasirox for iron overload
