Ultrasound technique to find liver blood pressure

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You need to have a scheduled HVPG test (a procedure that measures pressure in your liver).
  • You must not be pregnant or nursing (women of childbearing age will need a negative pregnancy test).
  • You must not have an allergy to perflutren lipid microspheres (the contrast agent used) or to polyethylene glycol (PEG).
