This study looks for new early warning signs (biomarkers) of how air pollution affects lung and blood health. It is for people with COPD, lung cancer, or leukemia who have never smoked much, as well as for healthy hospital workers.

Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must have smoked fewer than 100 cigarettes (about 5 packs) in your entire life and not smoke now.
- You either have COPD, lung cancer, or leukemia, OR you are a healthy employee at one of the study hospitals.
- If you have lung cancer or leukemia, you cannot have had prior cancer treatment (chemotherapy or other drugs).
- You must be willing to sign a consent form to participate.
