- You are being seen at University Hospital of North Norway in Tromsø for possible surgery
- You are 18 years or older
- You can speak and read Norwegian

- Your baseline Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) score is above 14 (for herniated disc) or above 22 (for spinal stenosis)
