Who can take part

  • You have stage T2, T3, or T4a head and neck cancer (with or without lymph node spread, but no spread to distant organs).
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • Your cancer has not spread to the lymph nodes under your arm (axilla).
  • You have not had another type of cancer in the past.
  • Your blood counts, liver, kidney, and heart function are within safe ranges (your doctor will check).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you agree to use effective birth control during and after the study if needed.
