Who can take part
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must have tested positive for COVID-19 or influenza within the last 48 hours.
- Your symptoms must have started less than 48 hours ago.
- You cannot be pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a known allergy to nitazoxanide.
- You cannot have serious long-term health problems like heart, liver, or kidney disease, severe autoimmune disease, or a history of organ transplant.
- You cannot have certain neurological or developmental conditions (such as stroke, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, ADHD, autism, or intellectual disability).
