Finding the best LDL cholesterol target after heart stent surgery

Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You have had a heart stent placed for either a recent heart attack or stable chest pain.
  • You are considered at extremely high risk for future heart issues (based on a list of conditions like diabetes, smoking, kidney disease, or complex stent procedure).
  • You must be able to make follow-up visits and take the study medications as directed.
  • You cannot be pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or nursing.
  • You should not have other serious health problems that might shorten your life to less than 3 years.
