Intensive cholesterol treatment for heart plaque in younger adults

Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 60 years old.
  • You have stable chest pain (angina) or know you have coronary artery disease.
  • A CT scan (CCTA) shows you have a 50% to 70% narrowing in at least one major heart artery.
  • Your LDL (bad) cholesterol is at a certain level: if you take statins, it must be at least 1.8; if not, at least 2.6.
