- You are between 18 and 60 years old.
- You have had at least three ankle sprains on the same side and they did not get better after 6 months of treatment like rest or therapy.
- You have been diagnosed with a torn anterior talofibular ligament by MRI and are scheduled for surgery to repair it.
- You have not had any ankle fracture or surgery before.
- You do not have severe ankle arthritis, infections at the surgery site, uncontrolled diabetes, autoimmune diseases, or a history of blood clotting problems.
