Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 50 years old and in good general health.
  • You have not had a pertussis (whooping cough) vaccine in the last 5 years or more than 7 total doses in your life.
  • You do not have a long-term health condition like diabetes, asthma, heart disease, or a weakened immune system.
  • You do not live or work closely with infants, pregnant women, elderly, or people with weak immune systems who are not up to date on their vaccines.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study.
