Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You must be a native speaker of American English who only speaks English.
  • You must pass a hearing screening done remotely (over the phone or computer).
  • You cannot have any known speech, language, or neurological problems.
  • You must never have interacted with someone who has dysarthria (a speech disorder that makes speech slurred or hard to understand).
