Who can take part

  • You must have a confirmed diagnosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (WHO types I, II, or III).
  • You must have had an MRI scan before starting any cancer treatment, which includes specific image sequences (T1-weighted, T2-weighted, and T1-enhanced).
  • You must have had a PET/CT scan before starting any cancer treatment.
  • If your MRI and PET/CT scans disagree on whether a lymph node has cancer, you must agree to have a needle biopsy of that lymph node.
  • You cannot have had radiation therapy to the neck lymph nodes for any reason in the past.
  • You cannot have any other type of cancer.
