Who can take part

  • You must have nasopharyngeal carcinoma confirmed by a biopsy (a tissue sample).
  • Your cancer must be at a certain stage (T3–4 or N2–3) meaning it has grown into nearby tissues or spread to neck lymph nodes.
  • You must have had an MRI of the nasopharynx and neck, and also a PET/CT (or a combination of chest CT, abdominal scan, and a bone scan) to check for cancer spread.
  • You cannot have had any other cancer in the past (like head/neck cancer, thyroid cancer, breast cancer, or esophageal cancer).
