Radiofrequency treatment to reduce blood transfusions in GAVE

GAVE - Gastric Antral Vascular Ectasia

Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with GAVE (a condition that causes bleeding spots in the stomach lining).
  • You have had black or bloody stools, vomited blood, or anemia that hasn't improved with iron therapy for at least 6 months.
  • You had a colonoscopy in the last year that showed no other cause of bleeding.
  • You are not pregnant, do not have active cancer, and do not have a bleeding disorder.
