- You must have two copies of the high-risk APOL1 gene variants (G1/G1, G2/G2, or G1/G2).
- You must have chronic kidney disease with persistent protein in your urine (albuminuria).
- You cannot have had an organ or bone marrow transplant.
- You must not have had active cancer in the past 2 years, except for certain early-stage or treated cancers.
- You cannot have Type 1 diabetes.
