  • You have diabetes and swelling in the center of your retina (back of the eye).
  • You have never had an eye injection, laser, or eye surgery before.
  • Your eye is clear enough for the doctor to take a good picture of the retina.
  • You do not have other eye diseases like glaucoma, inflammation, or age-related macular degeneration.
