Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for elective (non-emergency) colorectal surgery that involves removing a section of your colon or rectum.
  • Your surgery is planned as robotic-assisted, laparoscopic (keyhole), or open surgery.
  • You will receive general anesthesia during the procedure.
  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • Your physical health status is classified as ASA I, II, or III (generally healthy to mild-to-moderate systemic disease).
