Predicting breathing pauses in premature babies

Who can take part

  • Your baby has had episodes of apnea (breathing pauses) with bradycardia (slow heart rate) in the last 24 hours
  • Your baby has been off breathing support (ventilator or CPAP) for more than 48 hours before joining
  • Your baby was born before 32 weeks of pregnancy
  • You or the legal guardian must agree to and sign a consent form
  • Your baby does not have a major birth defect or nerve/muscle condition that causes breathing problems, and is not terminally ill
