Who can take part

  • Your baby was born very early (between 22 weeks 0 days and 31 weeks 6 days).
  • Your baby weighs more than 500 grams at the time consent is discussed.
  • Your baby is at least 3 days old when the study team screens them.
  • For at least 24 hours before joining, the baby’s breathing and blood pressure must be fairly stable on the breathing support, with no active infection.
  • The baby must not have a severe bleeding in the brain (grade 3 or 4).
