- You are between 18 and 85 years old
- Your spinal cord injury happened at least 6 months ago
- Your injury is at or above the L2 level (roughly the lower back)
- Your injury is classified as ASIA A, B, C, or D (any level of completeness)
- You can make a small visible movement with your ankle and hip muscles
