Who can take part

  • Born between 22 weeks and 28 weeks and 6 days of pregnancy
  • Your baby is 7 to 14 days old
  • Your baby is on a breathing machine (ventilator) and needs at least 30% extra oxygen (FiO2 ≥ 0.3)
  • No major birth defects of the lungs, diaphragm, or known genetic disorders
  • No recent infections or certain medicines that could affect the trial results
  • You (the birthing parent) are at least 18 years old and can give permission in English or Spanish
