Who can take part

  • You are at least 28 weeks pregnant.
  • You either have gestational diabetes (diagnosed using WHO guidelines) or you have a healthy pregnancy with no complications.
  • You are not already taking chromium or other supplements (besides the standard iron and vitamin B9).
  • You are willing to follow your doctor's prescribed treatment (insulin and diet if you have diabetes).
  • You are able to take a daily chromium supplement for 6 weeks.
