Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) that is only in one side of your liver and has not spread outside the liver.
  • Your cancer cannot be surgically removed right now, but your doctor thinks it might be possible after this treatment.
  • Your liver function is good (Child-Pugh A) and your performance status is 0 or 1 (you are up and active most of the day).
  • You have not had prior radiation, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, or liver artery treatments for your cancer.
  • If you have hepatitis B or C, it must be controlled with antiviral medication.
