This study tests whether using sound cues while walking can improve balance and ankle stability in people with chronic ankle instability. You may be eligible if you have had repeated ankle sprains and a feeling of your ankle "giving way" in the last 6 months.

Who can take part
- You are physically active and can run for at least 20 minutes without stopping
- You have had at least one ankle sprain in the past and your ankle has "given way" 2 or more times in the last 6 months
- You answer "yes" to 5 or more questions on a standard ankle instability questionnaire
- You have not sprained your ankle in the last month and have no other leg injuries in the last year
- You have not had surgery on your leg, a broken leg bone in the last year, or a concussion in the last year
- You do not have heart, blood sugar, kidney, or other serious health conditions, and you have not been told by a doctor to avoid vigorous activity
