Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have received a solid organ transplant (like kidney, liver, heart, or lung).
  • Your bloodstream infection was caused by a single type of one of these bacteria: A. baumannii, Enterobacter, E. faecalis, E. faecium, E. coli, Klebsiella (any type), P. mirabilis, P. aeruginosa, Serratia, S. aureus, S. lugdunensis, or Streptococcus.
  • You were hospitalized at the Fondazione IRCCS Cà Granda Policlinico in Milan between 2015 and 2023.
  • You did NOT receive antibiotics within 48 hours before or after your blood culture sample was taken.
