Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 65 years old
  • Be in good general health (ASA I or ASA II) – meaning no serious medical conditions
  • Be scheduled for septoplasty surgery (to fix a deviated septum) under general anesthesia
  • Have no history of facial trauma or a birth defect affecting the face or skull
  • Be able to have easy mask ventilation (breathing through a mask) during the procedure
