  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • Your overall health is classified as ASA II or III (mild to severe systemic disease, but not life-threatening).
  • You are scheduled for elective weight-loss surgery (bariatric surgery) under general anesthesia.
  • You have no known anatomical problems in your upper airway (like a narrow airway or growth).
  • You have not had surgery on your windpipe (trachea) or thyroid gland.
