This trial tests a new medication, HDM1002, to help people with excess weight lose weight and keep it off. You may qualify if you have a high BMI or a lower BMI with weight-related health problems, and you have struggled to lose weight through diet and exercise alone.

Who can take part
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 28 or higher but below 40, OR your BMI is between 24 and 28 and you have a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, liver disease (MASH), or joint pain.
- You have tried to lose weight through lifestyle changes (diet and exercise) for at least 3 months but lost less than 5% of your starting weight.
- You have not had a weight change of 5% or more in the past (either up or down).
- You do not have diabetes (type 1 or type 2) or a history of certain thyroid cancers or related conditions.
- You have not had weight loss surgery or other stomach/intestinal surgeries that affect digestion, and no recent pancreatitis or gallbladder problems.
- You have not taken any GLP-1 medications (like Ozempic, Wegovy) in the last 6 months, or any diabetes medications in the last 3 months.
