Who can take part

  • You need a knee arthroscopy for a meniscus tear or a small area of cartilage damage.
  • You must be between 18 and 64 years old.
  • Your knee must have no signs of arthritis (Kellgren-Lawrence grade 0).
  • The cartilage damage must be mild (Outerbridge grade 2 or lower).
  • You cannot have had prior surgery on the same knee.
  • You cannot be pregnant, have certain bleeding disorders, or inflammatory joint diseases.
