  • Diagnosed with a type of head and neck cancer (squamous cell) in the mouth, throat, or voice box that has spread to nearby areas but not far away
  • Able to have surgery to remove the cancer, followed by standard radiation or chemo-radiation
  • 18 to 70 years old
  • Good overall health (able to do daily activities without help)
  • Never had treatment for this cancer before
  • Willing to provide a tumor tissue sample for testing
