Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 35 or lower.
  • You have one or two full-thickness cartilage tears on the round ends of your thigh bone (femoral condyles) or the groove where the kneecap slides (trochlea).
  • The damaged area is between the size of a pea and a quarter (0.75 to 3 cm²).
  • You are willing to follow a strict rehab program and avoid narcotic pain pills for six months after surgery.
