Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have sudden kidney failure (acute kidney injury) that requires a special blood-filtering machine (continuous renal replacement therapy).
  • You need strong medications (called vasopressors, like norepinephrine) to keep your blood pressure stable, at a dose above 0.1 mcg/kg/min.
  • You or your family member must give written permission (informed consent) to join the study.
