Who can take part
- Your child has a fever (temperature ≥ 38°C) and needs a CRP test
- Fever has lasted more than 12 hours for babies ages 3 to 6 months, OR fever has lasted 5 days or more for children over 6 months, OR fever for any duration but the doctor is worried about your child's condition
- Your child does not have signs of a serious infection that need immediate hospital care
- Your child does not have a clear bacterial infection like ear infection or strep throat that is already diagnosed
- Your child is not a premature baby under 1 year old
- Your child does not have a weakened immune system, chronic infection, cancer, autoimmune disease, sickle cell disease, or a central catheter
