Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have at least one dental implant with peri-implantitis and a bone defect at least 3 mm deep.
- The implant has a crown or bridge that can be removed or allows good access for cleaning.
- You have not had non-surgical treatment for peri-implantitis in the last 6 months, nor surgical treatment for it.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and have not taken antibiotics in the last 3 months.
- You smoke 10 or fewer cigarettes per day, have good plaque control, and the implant is not loose.
