Who can take part
- You are between 12 and 17 years old.
- You have severe obesity (BMI in the top 5% for your age or higher) and at least one weight-related health problem, or very severe obesity (BMI more than 120% of the 95th percentile) even without health problems.
- You have tried to lose weight with a doctor-supervised diet and exercise program for at least 6 months.
- If you are a female, you must have a negative pregnancy test and agree to avoid pregnancy during the study.
- You have not had any previous weight-loss surgery or treatment.
- You are not currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
