Fontan Fitness Trial: Home exercise for better heart health

Who can take part

  • You were born with a single ventricle and have had the Fontan surgery (a type of heart surgery that redirects blood flow).
  • You are able to understand and follow instructions for the study tests.
  • You are able to safely do a treadmill or bike stress test (with help if needed).
  • You speak English, and at least one parent or guardian also speaks English.
  • Your peak exercise capacity (how hard your heart can work) is not too low (above 45% of normal) but also not too high (below 80% of normal).
