AMD Eye Image Library (ABID) Study

This study is creating a library of eye images to help doctors better diagnose age-related macular degeneration (AMD). You can join if you have healthy eyes or any stage of AMD that has never been treated.

Who can take part

  • You must be 50 years old or older.
  • You can have healthy eyes or any stage of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), as long as you have never had treatment for it.
  • You must not have severe vision loss that needs urgent surgery.
  • You must be willing to have your eyes imaged (like a retina photo) and sign a consent form.
  • You cannot have taken part in a study that tested an AMD treatment.
