Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You can read, write, and follow study instructions
  • For healthy volunteers: you have no serious health or eye problems, and your vision is 20/40 or better with glasses or contacts
  • For eye disease volunteers: you have been diagnosed with age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, or another condition that changes autofluorescence in the eye
  • You have not had eye surgery other than for refractive correction or cataract removal
  • You do not have a history of seizures triggered by flashing lights
