This study looks at how well a hip implant stays in place on X-rays before it is removed and replaced. If you are having a hip revision because only one part of the implant has loosened, this trial may be for you.

Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a hip replacement revision because the implant came loose without infection.
  • Only one part of the implant (the cup or the stem) is loose; the other part looks stable on X-rays.
  • The X-rays used to check your hip were taken in the last 8 weeks before surgery.
  • You are not having revision for both parts being loose, repeated dislocations, or infection.
  • Your revision surgery is still happening and has not been canceled.
