Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 4 and 8 years old.
  • Your child should be generally healthy and able to cooperate during dental visits.
  • The tooth being treated must be a lower back baby tooth (mandibular primary molar) that is dead (necrotic) based on exam and X-ray.
  • You (the parent) must agree to sign a consent form.
  • Your child cannot be allergic to any of the medications used in the trial.
  • The tooth must have enough healthy structure to be fixed with a stainless steel crown and not have a hole in the bottom of the pulp chamber.
