Who can take part

  • Your child is between 4 and 6 years old, healthy, and cooperative for a dental appointment.
  • The tooth in question must be a lower second baby molar that can be saved (it needs a simple filling or crown first).
  • The tooth has signs of a severe infection deep inside (called irreversible pulpitis), but there must be no abscess or root damage seen on X-ray.
  • Your child must be willing to come back for follow-up visits and your family must sign a consent form.
