Who can take part

  • For healthy volunteers: You must be between 18 and 50 years old, have a body mass index between 18 and 26, and be in good general health.
  • For ITP patients: You must be between 18 and 75 years old, have had ITP for at least 3 months, and have low platelet counts (under 30) with no severe bleeding recently.
  • You must not have other serious illnesses, active infections, or a history of cancer.
  • If you have ITP, you must have tried at least one standard treatment (like steroids) and it didn't work or you couldn't tolerate it.
  • You must be willing to use effective birth control during the study and for 3 months after the last dose.
  • You cannot have received certain other ITP treatments or blood transfusions within the past few weeks.
