Who can take part

  • You are currently staying as an inpatient at one of the study hospitals.
  • You have a brain injury from an accident, fall, or other cause such as lack of oxygen or stroke.
  • You are in a minimally conscious state, which means you show some signs of awareness but cannot communicate fully.
  • Your legal representative has agreed in writing for you to take part.
  • You are medically stable enough to participate.
  • You are 18 years or older.
