Who can take part

  • Your child is between 6 and 18 years old.
  • Your child has been diagnosed with malnutrition using World Health Organization criteria (for the malnutrition group).
  • Your child has no chronic illnesses like liver disease, diabetes, or a weakened immune system.
  • Your child has not had surgery on their liver or spleen.
  • Your child can lie still and cooperate during the elastography measurement.
