This study looks at how your brain becomes aware of things—like sounds and images—by measuring pupil size and brain activity. Healthy people may have an MRI; epilepsy patients with special brain electrodes already implanted can also join a part of the study.

Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older (or 13+ for epilepsy patients with implanted electrodes).
- You need normal vision—either without glasses or with soft contact lenses/glasses you can take off.
- You must have normal hearing without needing a hearing aid.
- You cannot have current or past psychiatric or neurological conditions (unless you're in the epilepsy group).
- You cannot be pregnant or have metal objects in your body if you will have an MRI.
