Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You had heart surgery (bypass, valve repair, or both) in the last 24 hours.
  • You have very low blood pressure (below 65 mmHg) that does not improve after getting at least 1000 ml of fluids through an IV.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You did not have emergency surgery or heart transplant surgery.
  • You do not have a history of certain conditions like Raynaud's disease or cancer.
